A Strong Start to the New Year
Special thanks to our team for putting together multiple events in January: a rewarding tour of Zaha Hadid Architects’ Leeza SOHO Tower, a fascinating talk with Atelier Alter 5+ Design (winners of 2018 AIA Shanghai Design Awards), and the CTBUH 2019 symposium which focused on healthy, social and productive spaces.

We'd like to remind you there's still time to take the survey. The survey is anonymous, but we will use the answers of respondents to help us better tailor event programming, lecture content, tours, and member services to the needs of China's design community. Take the Survey.

Las Vegas | June 6-8
Future cities
Beyond its excess, extremes, and appetite for the ersatz, Las Vegas is a global pioneer in design. Its ever-changing landscape is an incubator for the kind of transformation that influences architecture and design trends the world over.
And with tens of millions of visitors each year, Las Vegas is boldly on display. Not just the casinos and nightlife, but the hospitals, schools, community centers, parks, apartment buildings, and art installations that are part of people’s everyday lives.
This work is a testimony to how architects are designing a better future by taking on the critical challenges facing cities—and our world—today.
At A’19, we’ll explore designing a better future, for everyone.
Your own Blueprint for a Better Future
You’ll leave Las Vegas with actionable insights that will inspire your projects and your practice, from some of the most creative architects, designers, firms, and futurists.
A’19 programming includes sessions on artificial intelligence, data visualization, 3D concrete printing, Amazon Spheres, tall wood, nano-grid condos, immigrant architects, overcoming houselessness, the latest in WELL design, the energy-hog myth, designing border crossings and ports of entry, zero net energy affordable housing, new codes and standards, and architecture tours of local standouts like Frank Gehry’s Lou Ruvo Brain Center, Seven Magic Mountains, and the Downtown Container Park.
