AIA Shanghai is proud to present our first Women in Architecture event of the year. This event features Rosana Hu and Wendy Saunders, who both founded and now co-run their own firms.

About Rosana Hu

Rosana Hu is the founding partner of Neri & Hu Design and Research office, a Shanghai-based inter-disciplinary architectural design practice with an additional office in London. The firm has been named Design Vanguards by Architectural Record in 2009, EDIDA Designers of the Year 2017, and Wallpaper Designers of the Year 2014. Their works in the region include: the New Shanghai Theatre, Design Republic’s Design Collective, Suzhou Chapel, and Le Meridien Zhengzhou. Hu received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Music from Berkeley, and Master of Architecture and Urban Planning from Princeton.

About Wendy Saunders

Wendy Saunders founded AIM Architecture with Vincent de Graaf in 2005. As a Shanghai based passionate and innovative design studio, they have designed a substantial number of diverse projects throughout China and Southeast Asia including Glass House - Vabene Restaurant in Xintiandi, Soho Bund Office and China Resources Group Innovation Lab in Shenzhen. They have won numerous prizes along with the World Architectural Festival in 2016 for Hospitality, in 2018 for Education and the Asia Mipin Award for their Fucheng Yu Resort in Sichuan. Saunders was born and raised in Bruges, Belgium. She holds a Masters in Architecture from Ghent University.
