Future Office | A Data-Driven Workplace | October 31st
Currently more than half the world’s population, 3.6 billion people live in cities. Perhaps no other experience shapes a modern life more than office buildings and workplace. The current era also ushers in a flurry of user-data that can be harnessed for novel planning strategies. This program will provide insights into the potential of what is to come in the digital age as it relates to workplace and the role of the designer.
Invited speakers will discuss their contributions through the scope of large-urban initiatives, to buildings and workspaces, furniture and the internet of things (IoT). Topics include: introduction to digital experience design, how buildings leverage data and technology to help people perform their best, how design standards could be evolved to be a generative design process to challenge the idea of mass customization in workplace design, as well as the innovation of the sitting chair.
