2018 is coming to a close--last weekend, we had our Annual Banquet to meet our new officers, learn the results of our first Design Awards, and celebrate a great year. AIA Shanghai wishes everyone a happy holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in 2019!

Meet the Candidates + Happy Hour

At our November Monthly Happy Hour we had the opportunity to meet the candidates for 2019 Officer Elections: Todd Pilgreen, Jason Briscoe, Vikki Lew, Rachel Johnson and Jason Holland.

Building Tour | Shanghai Planetarium

We had a tour of the Shanghai Planetarium by Ennead Architects on November 17th.  About 25 people attended.

Soo K. Chan of SCDA Lecture | Tradition + Innovation

On November 27th, Soo K Chan gave a lecture on evolution of design thinking at SCDA through the interpretation of traditional and vernacular architecture.

2018 AIA Shanghai Design Awards Annual Banquet 

On Saturday evening, December 1st, over 380 people joined us for our inaugural Awards Banquet at the Peninsula Hotel on the Bund. In addition to honoring the winners of our first ever Design Awards Program, we celebrated AIA Shanghai's accomplishments and growth over the past year.
